MY TRIBUTE TO WHITNEY

This may have come late, but i had to mourn. To me Whitney was more than just a singer, more than just that woman with a lovely voice. She was the voice i listened to when i needed solace. She was there while i was growing up and her serenading vocals never left my music list. so this is to say thank you Whitney and also to say my goodbye's.

I don't think i remember the first time, the first song, the place, the time,
The only thing i remember was hearing a voice so fine
A voice that ill grow up with, unrivalled, unique,
A voice that went away from earth too quick;

Whitney you were always there;
You saved all your love for us, yet we gave you very little of ours;
You just wanted to dance with somebody, instead we danced to you;
You told us of the greatest love of all, yet we enjoyed love as a contact sport;

You were searching for where broken hearts go, no one could show you the way;
You looked for that moment in time, we were always up in your business;
You were every woman in more ways than one;
You were not afraid to try it on your own;

Every one knew you loved the Lord,
And when all your strength was gone you looked to Him;
You always encouraged us saying, hold on, help is on the way;
You said, never stop looking forward to that time when you would Exhale;
You never stopped believing in you and me;

Even though you didn't know your own strength, you still asked us to count on you;
You always said love will save the day, guess it did after all;
Because we still love you like you never left; your songs still inspire like a million dollar bill;
And although you thought you have nothing, you had somebody bigger than you and i;

So adieus Nippy, we'll be thinking about you;
Because where you are, i know u'll find peace;
Thanks for making us lovers for life, teaching us to dance on the smooth edge;
and although i ask myself why it hurts so bad,
Whitney, I'll always love you.

In loving Memory

"The Voice"

Out of all her songs, this one has stuck to me more since she left. I hope she rests in the bossom of the One she loves so much.

If I could melt your heart

Yaay im blogging again, its been a while. This is a story of a friend, or someone you may know. That one that smiles through it all, that one that has a wall of china no one can penetrate. sometimes people just need a friend, just need someone they can trust and that wall can be broken. So this is me putting myself out there saying ill be there for you. You should do so too, you never know who needs you.

I see in your eyes, a million thoughts;
In that beautiful smile, such painful truths;
The walls you have built, hides the real you;
Your heart still beats, but not as it should;

If i could paint what i see of you,
It'll be an ice-cube locked in a booth;
Trying to get out, trying to soar
But the fear of the unknown, makes sure it chokes;

Your past is written in black, your pain each passing day rise
But even in that hopelessness, i still want a part;
I still want to hope in no hope,
I still want to believe in no belief;

I want to paint that ice-cube everyday, slowly and steadily melting away;
Until the day that locked booth is empty
and the real you appears, free to live;
To love, to believe

This is one of my favorite songs of all time because it is so true.
